Thadd Turner founded Talmarc Film Productions in 2004 and is a member of the Writers Guild of America (WGA), Screen Actors Guild (SAG), Western Writers of America (WWA), and winner of the 2007 Western Heritage Award Wrangler for Best Picture as executive producer for the family drama Truce, and winner of the 2006 Spur Award for Best Feature Drama Script from the Western Writers of America for his original screenplay Miracle at Sage Creek
  
Producer, director, writer, actor, model, and author, Thadd has written over a dozen screenplays and has appeared on film, television, and commercial features, and will make his director debut with the upcoming fast-paced Western  The Hard Ride to be shot in New Mexico summer 2009.  Thadd wrote the original screenplay and will produce.

Films in active pre-production or development include: action cop-drama The Rez inspired by true events about a DEA agent battling the Mexican Mafia scheduled to shoot 2009 in New Mexico; family adventure-fantasy Johnny Kidd about a young boy looking for Poseidon's trident stolen by 17th century pirates, with the William Morris Agency and National Football League on board from an original story by Thadd's son Wyatt Turner; family drama Buttermilk Sky
about a loner ex-rodeo rider who befriends a streetwise orphan girl while he tries to make amends with his former fiance; gritty Western Palominas, about a rancher and down trodden Sheriff who battle hired gunmen at the turn of the century;  horror/thriller Taxidermist; 
buddy-action Gold Run, about two friends who must run for their lives after a gold heist goes bad in Mexico; sci-fi thriller, Prophet Margin, about a wealthy media mogul who uncovers time travel and tries to record the birth of Christ for profit; The Last Horseman; A Meadowlark Calling; and chic-flick road trip comedy Chasing Val.

Advanced horseman and technical expert on 1800's wardrobe, tack, and firearms, Thadd has recently appeared in Doc West, Real Cowboys: Wyatt Earp, Comanche Moon, Miracle at Sage Creek, 7 Mummies, Legend of El Charro, The Long Ride Home, Native Wisdom, Discovery Channel's Wild & The West, Animal Planet's On The Set of Miracle at Sage Creek, and provided historical technical support for the pilot episode of HBO's award winning Deadwood.

Published historical author, Thadd's non-fiction book "Wild Bill Hickok: Deadwood City - End of Trail" was released in 2001.

Thadd has recently provided Production Coordinator work for the History Channel's Real Cowboys: Wyatt Earp and The Day They Died; Canadian Broadcast Corp's The Gunslingers; and German AZ Media's The American West.

Christmas Miracle at Sage Creek was filmed at Old Tucson Studios' Mescal set location near Benson, Arizona, and stars David Carradine, Wes Studi, Irene Bedard, Michael Parks, and Buck Taylor.   The film is available on dvd through Universal Home Entertainment and regularly airs on cable television channels Starz Encore, Showtime, and The Movie Channel.   For more information visit www.miracleatsagecreek.com.

Thadd has provided live theater, radio, and living history reenactments. Character portrayals include frontier western scouts, lawmen, cowboys, outlaws, mountain men, and cavalry from the time period of the late 1800's. Thadd specializes in this time period, and can provide talent, stunts, horses, tack, firearms, costuming, mounted shooting stunts, consulting, and production coordination as needed.


Thadd was a contributing editor to True West Magazine for two years, and has provided feature stories for Wild West Magazine, WOLA Journal, Deadwood Magazine, Points West Magazine, Arabian Horse International, and provided historical research and information on Texas Jack Omohundro for the Buffalo Bill Historical Center in Cody, Wyoming.
