Thadd Turner lives the old west every day. A member of the Western Writers
of America, Thadd writes about the historic frontier characters and events that he personally has had the opportunity to re-live
through living history activities and reinactments. Turner spent two years in Deadwood researching local sources and reading
all available newspaper accounts of the time period for"Wild Bill Hickok, Deadwood City- End of Trail".
The horses and guns of the wild west are an important part of any western story.
Turner is a member of the Single Action Shooting Society, Cowboy Mounted Shooting Association, and Old West Living History
Foundation.
A long time Montana resident, Turner and his family- wife Cindy, daughter Tanya, and son Wyatt- now spend
their summers in the beautiful Black Hills around Deadwood, South Dakota, and their winters just outside of Tombstone, Arizona.
Representing the authentic old west through the clothing, tack, firearms, mannerism, and style of the real characters
that helped form our western heritage is a continuing ambition of the author.
